If your work is highly surreal, out there, avant-garde we want to publish it.
WHAT WE DON'T LIKE:
Stories about people thinking while driving their cars, stories about shopping and having an internal monologue while selecting your groceries.
Stories where the characters are "just regular people"
Stories about Facebook, cell phones, anything modern. We've had enough of that in our daily lives, and do not want to continue it in our fictional realms.
Whining, bullying, hate, realistic violence,
WHAT WE DO LIKE:
Stories where the character grows four heads, highly developed monstrosities, psychosis journals, sub-realms, time traveling, characters who deliver their story in a broken thought or speech pattern, dream realms, subversive ideology, vintage surrealism, Stories where the character realizes they are made out of the wall in a house, stories where all we see is a broom and an old shoe in the middle of a room for the entire duration.
Drugged out monologues, hallucinations, Schitzophrenic writing, bipolar writing, realistic sex scenes (that are hot, and meaningful.)
There are no rules to a surreal, out there, Avant Garde piece of fiction.
Feel free to break our rules, if you can get us interested in how you describe face book because you go ahead and turn it into a nightmare program obsessively eating at the minds of millions of people, and are able to show that to us, then feel free to break that rule.
But if you just keep mentioning Facebook almost like a commercial for facebook, we cannot accept your state of mind, and must turn down the piece on that simple basis.
We don't hate you, just what you have become.
